Lockhart was diagnosed with severe pulmonary stenosis. As a result, she has right atrial enlargement, right ventricular concentric hypertrophy, mitral regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation. We had hoped that heart medication would help, but sadly, it did not.

Lockhart requires a special procedure called a balloon valvuloplasty with the Veterinary Medical Center cardiac team at the University of Minnesota. This is the preferred treatment method for dogs with moderate to severe pulmonary stenosis. Lockhart is a candidate and her prognosis is good if she receives this surgery.

This surgery comes with a cost between $7,000-8,000 CAD. We know that this is our opportunity to help Lockhart live a normal, long life with improved quality.

Surgery is scheduled for March 29th, but unless we can raise the funds over the next three weeks, we will have to cancel.

The total amount paid for the tag goes towards Lockhart's treatment
